Hettling Park in Clermont, NY is a old farm with ground so polluted by agriculture, it needed to be stripped off and remediated. Now, it is a community recreation spot with lovely views of the Catskills and surrounding fields, farms, and orchards.
Embedded graphic panels, were used to interpret several locations near the Bard campus for the findings of archaeology professor, Dr. Christopher Lindner, and his classes near each installation.
Here, Indigenous American lifeways along the mid Hudson since the end of the last ice age.
The 1836 Gardener’s Lodge by A.J. Davis, was the prototype for the American Gothic cottage. Linder’s team identified the remains of the foundation and other remains of this significant building. Davis also designed Lyndhurst and many other mansions along the Hudson.
The Mid-18th c Parsonage site in Germantown, NY held evidence ranging from chamber pot shards, to mouth harps, to carved symbols relating to African-American occupants.
A pop-up exhibit was created to use in classrooms in addition to an outdoor panel.

The Middle Creek National Battlefield is a 100-acre site in Prestonburg, Kentucky. In 1862, Union Forces led by future president James Garfield, turned back advancing Confederate troops in a battle that was a turning point in the struggle for eastern Kentucky. Steel frames support vandal-resistant graphics on a site that is flooded each spring.
